Cutting stainless and carbon steel sheet to the required size and shape. Laser cutting gives clean edges and tight tolerances in thin and medium gauges; plasma is more economical on heavy sections. Deburring, bending and hole work can follow.

Grades
- 304The default grade. Easy to work, widely stocked. Safe in chloride-free environments.
- 316LThe standard for seawater lines, pool equipment, chemical process and pharma.
- 310SHigh chromium and nickel resist scaling up to around 1000 °C. The grade for furnace internals, burners and flue parts.
Surface finishes
- 1D Hot rolled, annealed, pickled — matt, industrial
- 2B Cold rolled, lightly bright — the common default
- BA Bright annealed — smooth, pre-mirror
- No.4 Brushed — directional grain, kitchen standard
- HL Hairline — long even grain, façade and lift
- No.8 Mirror — fully reflective
